Plan 4 Success is a non-profit organization that will prepare undergraduate minority students to meet the standards and qualifications for professional career entry positions with our corporate members.

The benefactors of Plan 4 Success are corporate members seeking to fulfill diversity initiatives in their professional and management ranks. Student participants also benefit by succeeding in their respective career paths and making a contribution to their chosen professional communities.

Plan 4 Success is made possible through the efforts of volunteers, corporate members and our staff. Volunteers advise and guide students through a variety of programs that include the Guest Speaker Series, Coaching Strategies and Interviewing Skills. Our corporate members participate by through the governing board, program funding and participation in various segments of the program.

What makes Plan 4 Success unique is its focus on meeting or exceeding standards set by its corporate members. This is achieved through a specific and comprehensive strategy students follow through their undergraduate years of study. The program functions similar to a class, meeting two to three time weekly with assignments, practicals and field requirements. Students actively participate in a series of training modules to develop professional competencies ranging from interviewing skills to understanding corporate culture and developing professional communications skills. Students receive frequent evaluations and feedback from their career coaches so they can stay on course and remain focused on specific goals.

Plan 4 Success places three requirements upon its students. First, to make a serious commitment to work toward his/her goals. Second, students gain an appreciation for volunteerism through participation in a community service project of their choosing. The third is to return to the program as an alumni volunteer after completing one year in a full time career position to inspire and guide new students in the program.
